Paper Piecing with Carolyn: Christmas Cookie Tree skirt or Throw

Students will learn:

*  Quiltworx Basics: Master pattern reading and specialized techniques for perfect fabric placement.
*  Flawless Accuracy: Learn straight sewing secrets that ensure blocks line up perfectly with adjacent blocks every single time.
*  Learn some curve piecing and veins that highlight the star points.
*  Paper-Piecing Efficiency: See how Quiltworx engineered newsprint patterns guarantees precision and makes it a piece of cake!


A list of fabric requirements and pre-class instructions is available at the front desk (the instructor can assist with fabric and color choices).

Supplies needed:

*  rotary cutter
*  6.5x24" ruler for cutting width of fabric (smaller rulers as desired)
*  Add-A-Quarter Ruler-12" or 18" (you will definitely need the 18" Add a Quarter, but can use the smaller rulers for the piecing)
*  Sewline Fabric Glue Pen plus refills on hand
*  Elmers Washable School Glue*-orange label, purple glue inside
*  Roxanne's Basting Glue (optional)
*  Size 70 Microtex sewing needles for piecing
*  Matching thread for piecing and quilting -50-60wt
*  Turning Templates to use with the Add-A-Quarter ruler-I will provide students with this if if students does not have one
*  Ziploc bags to organize pieces
*  Large paper clips
*  Light pad (optional)
*  Good operating sewing machine capable of straight stitch
*  Typical sewing tools such as awl or stiletto, seam ripper, tweezers, pins, clips, etc.
