Wool Crazy Quilt
Needed for 1st class:
*7 pieces of assorted wool, approx. 10" x 40" or larger
*1 piece light neutral wool approx. 10"x 40" to be used for practicing stitches
*1 1/4 yds osnaburg, washed, pressed, cut into 4 large squares (appx. 22")
*box of freezer paper or 4 yards of flexi-fuse
*fabric glue, sticky fabric tape, or 1/4" fusible tape (skip if using flexi-fuse)
*Mono-Poly thread
*sewing machine with zigzag stitch and bobbin of cream or white thread
The following will be discussed at first class but not needed for first class:
*chenille needles (sizes 22-16) or Tapestry/Cross stitch needles (sizes 24-16) and Millners or Straw needles (size 1-4)
*small sharp scissors
*assorted threads for embellishment
*optional: large eye needle threader
At the first class you will receive your templates for the block. We will spend this class constructing your blocks and preparing them for the decorative stitches. The remaining classes will be spent learning how to embellish your blocks.
